After two and a half seasons with the Dallas Stars, Evgenii Dadonov is now a Devil, signing with New Jersey in free agency this summer. He joins former Stars defenseman Brendan Dillon and Plano-native Stefan Noesen on a roster that is highlighted by Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier, Timo Meier and Jacob Markstrom. New Jersey changed head coaches before the 2024-25 season, saying goodbye to Lindy Ruff and hiring former Maple Leafs bench boss Sheldon Keefe. They made the playoffs, but lost to the Carolina Hurricanes 4-1 in the first round.
